dbf Re-Brands To Show True Innovation In Business Services

LUZERNE, PA–Diversified Business Forms of Luzerne, PA recently underwent a re-branding and name change to “dbf.” The branding change includes a crisp futuristic-looking logo that is more representative of the state-of-the-art services provided by the company and the tagline: where business meets innovation. “Our logo change signifies the diversity of products we supply above and beyond your ordinary business forms,” stated Thomas F. Sohns, vice president of dbf.

“The name change is indicative of the company’s growth and the evolving depth of the products and services we offer,” added James D. Haggerty, president of dbf. “While the ‘Business Forms’ name has served us well in the past, it no longer conveys all that we do.”

For over 37 years, dbf has served clients across the country, providing products and services that include business forms, commercial printing, thermal labels, advertising specialties and commercial products. dbf now provides much more than products and services, they provide business solutions. “We continually strive to adapt quickly to changing technology and the changing needs and expectations of our clients in an evolving economy,” Haggerty said. The company was recently recognized nationally by Print Solutions Magazine as being among the top 100 distributors in the country. No small fete in a very competitive industry.

In addition to the wide array of products and services mentioned above, dbf also features services such as corporate image programs, sales/incentive programs, document management, warehousing, on-line company stores, distribution and pick and pack. “We have tailored programs to fit just about any client need that has arisen over the years,” Sohns said. “From searching for the ideal, ultra-personalized gifts and take-away items for a variety of special events to building specialized online ordering systems tailored to the many printing and promotional needs of our clients, we’ve done it all.”

Established in 1969, dbf’s success has come from its understanding that each customer has needs unique to its business or market segment and a commitment to providing quality products, service and dependability to all clients. The company, which currently services clients in 34 states, is now co-owned and operated by Haggerty, Sohns and Bill Nelson.

Haggerty joined dbf in 1979 as a sales associate and went on to become part of the ownership team in 1981. Although the company services clients across the country, he remains committed to local growth as well, he is a native of northeast Pennsylvania. A graduate of the University of Scranton, Haggerty resides in Forty Fort, PA with his wife Marianne, and three children, Elizabeth, Jimmy and Connor.
Prior to joining dbf in 1982, Sohns played professional baseball for the Cincinnati Reds from 1976-1980. He also taught at Dunmore High School. In 1985, he became part of the dbf ownership team. A graduate of the University of Scranton, Sohns resides in Dunmore with his wife, Linda, and their two children, Guy and Tommy.

Nelson joined the dbf team in 1998 and in that same year became a partner. Nelson, who started in the business forms industry in 1982 lives in Montoursville with his wife Lila and their two children, Bryan and Keri.

It was under the management of Haggerty, Sohns and Nelson that dbf has seen significant growth and expansion into areas such as complete order fulfillment with improved conveniences including customizable web-based online ordering and company stores. “Our ultimate vision is to make it easier and more efficient for our clients to do business,” Haggerty said. “All of our goals are aimed at providing the diverse business solutions they need to succeed.”
